Ilham Aliyev: "We plan to complete major infrastructure projects in the liberated territories within three years"

"Everything we plan to do in the liberated areas is based on our budget. We have not received any messages of support from international organizations. We would be grateful if they help us, or we will do what we have done yet. We must rebuild our territories".

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this in response to a question about the participation of EU in the restoration of liberated territories at  “New vision for South Caucasus: Post-conflict development and cooperation” international conference held in ADA University.

According to him, some companies representing the European Union will participate in the reconstruction projects.

"In the next three years, we plan to complete all major infrastructure projects, such as railways, highways, electricity and water supply, as well as the active construction phase, so that the returning people will have all the facilities for living there. I think the Zangezur corridor will work to that"". ""Our goal is 2-2,5 years, and, of course, if there is proper coordination and Armenia will not create artificial barriers, construction of the road in Mehri district will not take long», he said."
