Shabby Chic
"The Shabby Chic" style was created by British designer Rachel Asheville in the 80s and relevant to the present day.

The furniture and decor used in this style is the result of the redesign (renovation) of obsolete furniture.

One of the important nuances of bringing the Shabby Chic style to your home is choosing the right color. Colours must be gentle and pastel. These tones can be blue, pink, ivory, and white.

A light natural tree or a parquet board can also be used as floor covering.

It is better to whiten the ceiling and not touch the curved parts. (This highlights the uniqueness and naturalness of the Shabby Chic style.)

In this style the walls can be painted in white or one of the colors mentioned above, or wallpaper with floral motif (correct) can be used.

Loft
"The word "loft" can be translated from English as "attic", "penthouse", "gallery". The loft style originated in the factory districts of Manhattan. This goes back to the 1940s.

When people living in difficult times, left their homes and settled outside the city, vacant apartments were sold at very low prices. The New York bohemia took advantage of the event to lay the groundwork for a new style turning homes into exhibition halls for young artists and musicians.

In the late 1950s, the prices of these apartments began to rise gradually due to their spacious and urban charm. In this case, the crisis, which also touched European countries after the United States, led to the evacuation of factories and exhibition halls and the resettlement of factories outside the city. These apartments came from exhibition halls, factories and plants.

Loft's interior really looks like a shop and a workshop. Loft is a large and open area. Applying the loft style, it is important to consider specific nuances, such as the brightness of the object and the fact that the area is large enough. The most important nuances:
  • Adequate lighting of objects;
  • Width of the area;
  • Rough concrete and brickworks;
  • Light colors;
  • Fireplace and wood motifs;
  • Staircase; the floor with high ceilings preferably divided as a square by a staircase. Iron or other metal can be chosen.
  • Multifunctional furniture; The right choice is to adapt the combination of modern furniture and fashionable furniture of the last century to this style.

Classic
"The classic style"(Classic style) - is an architectural style based on principles of Ancient Greek and Roman architecture of about century BC until 3 century A.C.

The clearest examples of the classic style are the great religious temples embodying the "principles of regularity", "symmetry", "geometry", "proportional division" and "perspective". From the Renaissance through to the discovery of "modernism", the classic style somehow has shown itself in the West.

In "Romanesque", "Gothic", "Baroque" and other architectural styles one or more features of the classic style can be seen. The main features of this style are huge columns and proportionately arranged wallpapers of columns (Doric, Ionic, Corinthian).

In general, the proportions, symmetry and ratio of individual particles to the construction project are factors characterizing the style.

Neoclassic
"Neoclassic (Neoclassicism) – in response to the Baroque and the Rococo styles, the architects of this style, which appeared in France in the middle of the XVIII century, wanted to return the principles of nobility and grandeur to architecture again.

In the 18th century, there was a great interest in archaeology and antiques. In particular, the emergence of style as a result of excavations in Pompey, Hercules, other ancient Greek cities and settlements further strengthened this process.

Simple geometry, empty walls, wide use of columns, grandeur and width are the main characteristic features of this style.

Neoclassicism was perceived as a sign of strength, wit and charm in Europe, America and many other places. This style was most developed in the construction of supreme courts.

Modern
"The modern style" - spread by the end of the XIX century, beginning with the Bauhaus school in Germany at the beginning of the XX century, by architect Le Corbusier in France, as well as architect Frank Loyd Wright in the USA.

Recent technological innovations combined with improvements in the quality of engineering and building materials, as well as the desire to move away from historical architectural styles, eventually laid the foundation for a fully functional and new style, the modern style.

Concrete, iron and glass are the most frequently used materials in this style. The characteristic features of the style are minimalism, lack of superfluous details and decor."

Minimalism
The first type of minimalism is the high-tech style. The main materials in this style are plastic and metal; bright furniture and shiny surfaces are widely used. The main principles are laconism and ergonomics. For the room made in the minimalism style, the following details are characteristic:
  • Geometrical, graphic forms and lines;
  • Ascetic and strict color palette;
  • Solid surfaces;
  • Use of natural materials in design;
  • The desire to free up as much space as possible;
  • Blindness of natural and artificial lighting;
  • Combination of several rooms together;
  • Refusal of massive and heavy curtains for the sake of cuts;
  • Minimizing or eliminating the decor.
